Otago Daily Times Print is a printing business in Alexandra. I am lucky enough to have them as a host for six weeks. Kara is my contact there and she is wonderful.
On the first morning she showed me how they make plates and I was absolulutely terrified that I would have to do something that I could make a mess up. I spent the first week observing the processes and learning a little about how to use Indesign and Photoshop. By the end of the week I had an idea of the general processes. They are very busy people - always working to high standards and to deadlines.
I enjoy the collaboration and working atmosphere of the "Art Room". Checking, double checking, proofreading and checking again are the order of the day!
They printed large posters for a group of vintage car enthusiasts and here is a picture of the image to be used being proofed in sections for content and layout before the next and more expensive full size printing.
