Technically Correct: Processes and standards in the Print Design Industry
The overall goal is to work in and observe a range of printing businesses during the year. I want to see how the process of designing and producing printed products works in practice.I want to take an active part in this process, realistically starting at a place suitable to my skill level, but my goal is to design and see printed a range of products that I have had an active role in producing. I wish to find out more about printing in colour and the relationship between designs produced in software and the colour eventually printed and I wish to work with the industry standard software that businesses use such as PhotoShop, Corel Draw, Freehand and Indesign. Finding answers to questions is as easy as using Google, but I want to make the knowledge my own by working within the technological practice of the Print Industry, I want to experience the process in order to say from experience to students – "this is the way it is".
